It started with a

不要放棄夢想！總是相信心中還有一團火，堅持到底，任何事情都可能發生的 -- 這就是DAN。

作為一位音樂老師，一位因為有星星孩子的母親的我，執著以身教去告訴孩子，為了追夢，不可輕言放棄 。

​一個樂團只有一位鋼琴手（pianist），假如不是國際級水平，要如何有機會可以和樂團一同演奏？答案就是：成為作曲家，創作管弦樂曲 。

素來懷著一個希望，能為我爸爸創作一首管弦樂版本作品 Sunken Memory ；更盼望有一天能夠邀請一隊樂團演奏這曲目。

這個願望一直未曾放棄，直至​今年，開始學習管弦樂編曲，以三個月時間，修讀了Berklee College of London Orchestration II 課程 。再於四月時決定到匈牙利進行錄音！當時，我甚至未有任何樂曲準備好可以供兩個月之後錄音。

然而，堅持令我達成了心願！

就這樣，我拿著一疊樂譜，踏上了一趟夢幻音樂旅程；來到布達佩斯，一個既迷人又吸引的城市，造就了畢生難忘的音樂之旅。

"What if I write for the orchestra?" I was thinking.

Never good enough to be a world class concert pianist, but I could be a composer and write for the orchestra! That's my dream, and it came true in this June 2024. 

I couldn’t write orchestral music at the beginning of this year until I learned the craft. I took the Orchestration II from the Berklee College of Music earlier this year, and then I want to manifest my dream project. Initially, I wanted to record a piece titled "Sunken Memory" for my late father, so I began writing. Then, an opportunity arose, and I booked the orchestra in June, even though I didn’t have any other music ready by April.

Throughout this process, I learned a great deal about managing my time, writing effectively for an orchestra, and, most importantly, creating sounds in my mind using different instrumental families and manipulating their textures. These are my very first pieces of orchestral writing, and I had the privilege of working with an orchestra.

One glorying morning, I went on the plane and flew to the fascinating city - Budapest in Hungary. It was a beautiful and romantic city, I am thrilled and this is a lifetime memories that we've made.
